Figure Art :
Using the figure in art is a great challenge to artists because human beings are very particular about how they are represented. It’s personal and so is each artist’s approach. I work with live models because I prefer to work with the wide variety of information found in real life as opposed to the limits of the imagination. I prefer to work with models whose bodies are not ideal because they have more character. I prefer to discover rather than to assume or impose an ideal because things aren’t always what they seem.
